To be able to access the event please use the QR code that was sent to you via email, you will need to scan so we can print your badge. Please keep the badge during the whole event .
TRAVELLING AND ACCOMMODATION
Travel to/from the event and accommodation in Brussels during the event is covered by the European Commission.
All participants will reside in three hotels (located nearby each other and the venue of the event) – Double tree by Hilton, Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre, Hotel Indigo Brussels .
You have received individually travel itineraries and the information about the hotel you are staying. If you have not received this information, please contact us ASAP: consumersummit2024@iservice-europa.eu
There will be a welcome desk to reply to any enquiries regarding your arrangements for travel and accommodation. The desk will be available at the registration area from 18:00 to 22:00 on Wednesday 17 April in Theatre de Vaudeville and from 09:00 to 18:00 on Thursday 18 April in Double Tree by Hilton. NETWORKING DINNER – 17 APRIL
For those who will be attending the networking buffet dinner in Théâtre du Vaudeville on 17 April, please note that before the dinner, you will need to print out your badge at the dinner venue using one of the on-site registration kiosks. A host will available to assist you with this. The badge will be valid for the dinner and for the Consumer Summit. This way, you will not need to queue for registration on 18 April.
The dinner will start at 19:00 and end by 22:00. Please account for sufficient time of arrival, bearing in mind the need to register and print your badge.
The venue will have a cloakroom. Given the anticipated warmer temperature indoors, we recommend option for a lighter attire to ensure comfort during the dinner.
The venue is located in Galerie de la Reine 13, 1000 Brussels. Please note that there is no local transportation provided by the organisers. No reimbursements for local transport are possible. To reach the venue, please follow the suggested routes:
- From the Double Tree by Hilton or from the Indigo Hotel walk from place Rogier located next to both hotels for about 20 minutes (for 1.3km) to reach the venue by following this route. Please mind that the area is highly popular and touristic, we recommend remaining vigilant and safeguarding your belongings.
- From the Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre, walk for about 20 minutes (for 1.2 km) to reach the venue by following this route. Please mind that the area is highly popular and touristic, we recommend remaining vigilant and safeguarding your belongings.

CONSUMER SUMMIT – 18 APRIL
REGISTRATION
All sessions of the Consumer Summit (plenary and workshops) will take place in The Double Tree by Hilton, located in Rue Gineste 3, 1210 Brussels. Entrance from Rue Gineste, at park Botanique side (it will not be accessible from place Rogier).
Registration desks will be located on the ground floor of the venue. They will be open from 09:00 (CET).
To ensure smooth registration, please be ready to present your QR code at the top of this email, to print your badge. Having a badge is compulsory to access the conference premises during the event. Should you not have your QR code, please ask the onsite staff in the registration area to print your badge by presenting your ID card with your name.
Please note that participants who have not attended the dinner and picked up their badge there, will have to pass through registration, before entering the conference room. Therefore, we suggest arriving well on time at the venue.
For the participants who attended the dinner, we kindly remind to bring their badges.
Please note that the badges will have colour indication corresponding to the workshop that you chose . There will also be QR codes on the badges showing the plan of the workshops.
REMOTE PARTICIPATION
Remote participation is not foreseen for this event.

The opening and the closing plenary sessions of the Consumer Summit will be web streamed on this website.

After lunch, parallel workshops will be held. Please note that the colour on your badge will be indicating the workshop for which you registered for.

INTERPRETATION
The interpretation is available via interpretation headsets available on the venue in: English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian and Hungarian during the plenary sessions.
The workshops will be held in English only.

MEETING ROOM
Speakers for the Plenary will have reserved seats at the front of the room and will also have access to the VIP room. Please make sure to be in the room at least 20 minutes before the start of your session.
CLOAKROOMS
Guarded cloakrooms are available at the venue. Our conference assistants will take your coats and bags and provide you with a ticket number with which you will be able to recuperate your belongings.

CATERING – 18 APRIL
LUNCH AND COFFEE
A welcome coffee will be served from 9.00 until 10.00am in the coffee areas next to the registration area and next to the plenary room on the ground floor of the venue. A buffet lunch will be available from 12.00 to 13.30 in the same rooms (standing buffet) and in the restaurant of the hotel (sitting lunch).
Throughout the event, coffee breaks will be constantly available at the rooms adjacent to the plenary rooms and to the breakout rooms.
NETWORKING COCKTAIL
A Networking cocktail, offered by the BE Presidency, will be served from 16.30 until 18.30 at the Double Tree by Hilton, in the coffee areas next to the registration area and next to the plenary room.

EVENT VENUE AND HOW TO REACH IT
All sessions of the Consumer Summit will take place in The Double Tree by Hilton, located in Rue Gineste 3, 1210 Brussels.
There is no local transportation provided by the organisers. No reimbursements for local transport are possible.
The venue is easily reachable by public transport it is located a 10-minute walk away from Gare du Nord (follow the map here). The closest metro station is Rogier .
Gare du Nord has a train station, metro lines 2 and 6, and several bus and tram lines. Single transport tickets can be purchased in BOOTIK-KIOSK-GO vending machines. One journey covers the entire network and allows to change lines and transport (bus, tram and metro).

From Brussels International Airport:
- By taxi: the journey from the airport to the venue takes around 30 minutes. We estimate that fares will cost between €40 and €50.
- By train: there is a train station located at level -1 of the airport, with trains leaving for the city centre every 15 minutes on average. From the airport you can directly reach Brussels-North railway station, and from there you can continue by foot (10-minute walk ). The second-class train ticket costs €10.80 and the duration of the journey is around 20 minutes.
